Cities don't change from the top down; they heal from the inside out. Explore how cosmictecture and conscious residential design form the blueprint for societal renewal. We often look at our cities as massive, impersonal machines made of concrete, asphalt, and zoning codes. When a neighborhood declines, or when social isolation and anxiety rise across a metropolis, city leaders usually look to policy tweaks, economic incentives, or massive infrastructure projects to fix the i

Have you ever stepped into an ancient stone cathedral and looked up toward its vaulted ceilings, feeling an immediate, physical wave of peace wash over you? Your shoulders soften. Your breathing slows. The chatter of the mind simply… falls silent. For generations, modern builders dismissed that feeling as sentimentality. Too often, we built for utility alone — square boxes of sterile drywall and flat ceilings, shelters designed merely to keep the rain off our heads. We treate

The Healing Power of Architecture and the New American Style I want to explore the practical application of Neuroaesthetics to Architecture as Art. Art has the ability to heal through beauty and a connection with the human spirit. I also want to dig into the need for the United States culture to develop a brand-new architectural style for civic and residential buildings, aiding in connection with the American Spirit.

New homes need to be designed with respect to the unique architectural DNA of the location, meeting the current necessities of living, and with a vision for the future, which in my view means reaching for the sky. Even though we are a product of our histories, we are also new creations, and as such, we can use creativity to produce unique contributions in any field.

I was always curious and amazed by the concept of Alchemy — a type of chemistry widely used in European countries during the Middle Ages. The German noble families were committed to discovering medicines that would cure ANY disease, and how to change ordinary metals into gold. They invested large sums of money supporting alchemists and their various experiments. It is interesting to note that such patronage can have far-reaching results. While they never turned iron into gold

For me, architectural design is only worth the effort if the project gets built here and now, which is why I specialize in architectural design and real estate development. Up until now I have focused on projects where my company is the overall decision maker. We function best when we have control from purchase of the land, all the way to the end of construction.

Which Came First? The International Spy Museum, in Washington, DC has a section dedicated to the question: Which came first, the spy gadgets we see in the movies or the actual spy gadgets? This next question moves us a little closer to our topic: Which came first, the image of rockets and spaceships, or the actual rockets and spaceships? Our topic actually applies to architecture: Did space age design, or space age technology come first?

The names we ascribe to things are powerful. In today’s AI world, we can see how each word feeds a seemingly invisible algorithm. Before we look at the interior design and aesthetics of living rooms and family rooms, let’s discuss what I mean when I use the words Living and Family.

Approach types in architecture refer to the manner in which a visitor is guided towards the entrance of a building. The Approach is often a path—completely outdoors—which you walk to get to the front door. In an apartment building it would be the corridor.

When architects and designers begin working on a master bedroom, we all approach it from a different perspective. Some want big, open spaces with lots of windows and a sense of vastness. Others want the comfort of closeness, smaller windows, and an atmosphere with dim light, giving a sense of safety to enhance rest and peace.

We are living in a time of such genuine political upheaval that many of us in the West don’t have a comparable reference point. Financial crises seem inevitable, international trade relations remain tense and people are being killed for speaking the truth. It is in times like these that our values are put to the test, and we begin to ask ourselves what is most important in our lives.

The architectural design phase for completing a project is divided into percentages of time for the total work. Usually Schematic Design (10-25%), Design Development (15-25%), Construction Documents (35-45%), Bidding (5-10%), and Construction Administration (20-30%).

When I visit a city I’ve never been to before, I always know where to find the heart of its beauty, history and community. The center of the city will typically have structures, whether for government, worship, or residences, that encapsulate the history and culture of a region. In particular, places of worship have long been the guardians of and advocates for beauty and art, and they are high on the list of places I want to see.

At the beginning of the Schematic Phase of The Jetsons House, I was frustrated because all the models I came up with looked wrong.
